Edwardian/Georgian Conservatories

Also referred to as Georgian, we design and install more Edwardian conservatories than any other design. It's rectangular or square shape optimises floor space and offers an airy feel. Like any square conservatory it has the advantage of offering useful corners on the front elevation that Victorian style conservatories cannot.

If you're looking to increase your downstairs floor area then the Edwardian or any rectangular/square conservatory is a great option.

Design-wise, it's easy to get a nice balance between the glazing bars of the roof and the window mullions. The doors can be placed at the front or to the side, creating plenty of flexibility when thinking of introducing furniture and maximising space.

A popular option is the four-sided Edwardian roof. This allows one section of the roof to pitch back towards the house or bungalow and with the use of a box gutter can create a stunning room with an orangery feel to it (the bottom left image shows this on a bungalow).

The roof can be glazed with 25 mm or 35mm polycarbonate or 24 mm double glazed glass units.

As with all our conservatories there are a multitude of different options, including decorative glazed top vents, roof vents, and box gutters (please see the relevant links).

All are available in PVC, in flat white, wood grain foils in white, cream, black, mahogany, rosewood and oak. Powder coated aluminium and timber. Please link to the relevant pages for more detail.
