A brief history of Corsham Building Plastics (CBP)
We are family! CBP was formed in 1986 by brothers Chris and Mike Gingell, who started installing PVCu fascia and guttering. Over the years, they kept up with industry trends and expanded their product range to include PVCu windows, doors, and conservatories—hence the name Corsham Building Plastics.
In 2019, they passed the Company onto Mike’s sons, Adam and Paul, and Chris’s son, Luke, now the Directors who continue to move the Company forward to this day with new exciting products and an updated stunning showroom, one of the largest in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Adam and Luke are involved in sales, and Paul is the surveyor. Fathers Mike and Chris are still involved behind the scenes, with Mike looking after commercial sales. Keeping it a family business, Adam’s wife Sarah is now the company accountant.
Corsham Building Plastics likes to follow family tradition, so we want to keep the original name. However, for an obvious reason, it is now abbreviated to CBP, as we don’t do only PVCu anymore! We have moved with the trends by offering latest generation aluminium, the most advanced hybrid materials such as Internorm, on-trend steel-look windows and doors in aluminium and luxurious handmade steel internal and external windows and doors.
We have kept up to date with innovations by adding products that add even more space and value to your home. These include all-year-round glass rooms and glazed extensions, garden rooms, glass canopies and even glass balustrades and balconies. CPB now provide virtually every kind of window and door in all materials. Moreover, we’ve carefully selected windows and doors we know you’ll love, from only the best possible brands, manufacturers and suppliers.
With our many years of experience, technical knowledge and expertise, we have carefully selected a selection of high-quality brands to suit all pockets, so you don’t have to search around. The brands all have one thing in common: they provide top-quality materials and components for their price points. Our range therefore suits those wanting an effective way to improve their home, or technically advanced products for Grand Designs-style or architect-designed homes.
Since its inception, the Company’s aims have remained the same: “to provide quality products, installed expertly, at reasonable prices and offer an excellent after-sales service.”
We fully employ our own installers and aim to keep all work ‘in-house’ as much as possible. Our status as Premium Partners for some of the best brands globally also means we are fully trained, accredited, and approved.
You can be confident that we will install a product to the highest standard; with CBP, you can be assured. We are a FENSA Approved Installer, registration number 36889, for our replacement window work. which means that after the installation, you will receive a FENSA certificate, which you must retain. Why?:
- It confirms compliance with building regulations
- It shows your installation’s energy-efficient
- It ensures it’s registered with the Local Council
- It verifies your installer’s guarantee is insured
- It is essential documentation when selling the property
For extra peace of mind, we are INSTALSURE, which, as part of FENSA, will be an Insurance-Backed Guarantee (IBG) policy in your name.
New build and commercial work fall under Building Control for which we always provide fully compliant products, meeting current Building Regualtions and performance standardds.
By far the biggest advantage to using us for your property or commercial building project is our technical expertise and knowhow. We work alongside homeowners, builders, and architects on commercial and residential projects such as new builds, renovations, restaurants, hotels, schools and offices. Whatever design, aesthetic, technical, functional or specification requirement you need to meet, we help you achieve it.
