Bifolding Doors
A beautiful range of doors, designed to let the light flood in.
At CBP, we have selected the best bifold door systems and brands, so you don’t have to. After an initial consultation, we can advise you on the most suitable bifold door based on meeting your required specifications, functional requirements, sightlines or budget.
The CBP Bifold Doors collection comes in a variety of styles and materials. All meet the latest security, weather protection, and thermal performance regulations as well as current Building Regulations for new build or refurbishment projects. We can also advise you on products that are suitable for helping you achieve the Passive Haus standard.
The bifolding door is a folding glass wall, also known as a folding-sliding door or bifold door, which lets natural light flow into your home. Its distinct feature is the separate door panels connected via hinges, allowing the panels to concertina together in one or both directions.
The significant advantage of bifolding doors is they can be folded right back almost the whole opening of your wall, making them an excellent choice for large openings. When fully opened, they allow for smooth transitions between the inside and out, giving you that real connection with the outside. And with the CBP bifold doors range being one of the slimmest on the market, they promise the WOW factor to any project.
The panels of bifolding doors offer unique flexibility. They can open inwards or outwards, stack to the left or right, or even break somewhere in between. This flexibility allows you to design your space according to your preferences and needs. You need to consider where your furniture will be placed and the most suitable position for the exit door, called a traffic or pass door, which also holds the locking mechanism. Bifolding doors can also have a low or flush threshold, making them ideal for limited mobility and wheelchair use.
Each bifold panel is designed to work at most practical widths, with some of our best-engineered bifold doors such as Schüco, designed to the widest possible panel widths of up to 1.5m wide.
The variety of options inspires and excites homeowners, architects, and construction professionals about the design possibilities of bifolding doors.
